Finally, YouTube Channel Stop Showing Shorts.
Following the UI changes they made a few days ago, YouTube has now started releasing their latest update which pretty much features the changes. One of them is a change in the appearance of the YouTube channel through Shorts, Friday (28/10).
During the time YouTube released their new feature called YouTube Shorts, the platform was increasingly introducing their new features on their own platform. Shorts can be said to be a Story feature on Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook.
This feature allows a video creator to be able to share their stories with a short duration, then a few weeks ago YouTube has also changed the Shorts feature to be more flexible. Creators can instantly edit their videos to be shorter in length, so they can be shared and reach more viewers.
However, the Shorts feature proved successful in attracting more viewers on YouTube. Because YouTube uses the algorithm they designed, in order to be able to share creator Shorts to a wider audience on both the app and web versions.
However, not everyone likes the Shorts feature. YouTube seems to continue to push for the Shorts feature on their platform, including displaying it on the creator's YouTube channel which is considered less visually appealing.
Therefore, there are many reviews from YouTube users who regret that this feature is considered too annoying and always appears. Though YouTube could have made a more organized display.
In response to this, YouTube will bring a UI change that is quite interesting for us to discuss because it has an impact on the appearance of Shorts on the creator's YouTube channel. Through its latest update later, YouTube will eliminate creator Shorts sets by setting them through exploration of video type criteria.
As seen above, users can directly explore the list of videos on the creator's YouTube channel by only needing to view videos by type. Above YouTube has provided Tabs to view by Video, Live and Shorts.
Videos Tab: to display a list of videos from the creator's YouTube channel that you access.
Live Tab: to display a list of Live Streams from the creator's YouTube channel, including scheduled, archived and recently streamed ones.
Shorts Tab: to display a list of Shorts videos created by creators.
Meanwhile, YouTube is releasing their latest update today to feature filters with the names “Recently Uploaded” and “Popular”.
